Why the name “Anchored Creatives”
ANCHOR

TO HOLD FAST, TO FIX OR FASTEN.
TO MAKE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING STAY IN POSITION BY FASTENING SECURELY.
Andra and I are unapologetically Christian. And in this, we believe that the world we live in was not a cosmic accident, but rather the handiwork of an intelligent Creator. The very fact that we have been created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) is the reason why I believe we as humans are creative. That is why Andra and I chose the tagline,
Created by the Creator to be Creative
The late Paul Walker (American Actor) said the following,
“The people I don't understand are atheists. I go surfing and snowboarding, and I'm always around nature. I look at everything and think, 'Who couldn't believe there's a God? Is all this a mistake?' It just blows me away.” - Paul Walker
Honestly, we couldn’t agree more with Paul’s statement. Many try to stump Christians by asking the following question, “If God created everything, then who created God?” Not realizing that if God didn’t exist, then the same question would still remain. That question only would be rephrased as, “If nothing creating everything, then what was before nothing?” To Andra & I, it’s far more reasonable just as unbiased human beings to believe that there is actually intentionality, meaning and purpose to this life.
From the beginning of time, 2 existential questions has come across every human being’s mind at some point (regardless of background and faith). And those 2 questions are,
Who am I?
Why am I here?
As Christians, we have the answer. The Bible says in Colossians 1:16 that, “Everything was created through Him (Jesus) and for Him (Jesus).” So if everything was created through Jesus and for Jesus, then the answer to these 2 existential questions are actually quite simple.
Who am I? The very creation of the living God.
Why am I here? To bring honor and glory to God.
This is why we didn’t call our company “_fill in the blank_ Creatives.” God’s the owner, we’re just the stewards. The hope we have in Christ is the anchor for our soul. And no matter what we go through in life, we never lose… We either win or learn.
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” Hebrews 6:19a
